Roatan Charter was founded in 1981 as a partnership by Terry Evans and Jaki Jeffrries (now Jaki Evans) and  incorporated under the bylaws of the State of Florida in 1983. The company moved  to the town of San Antonio, Florida in 1985, and to their present location - a refurbished 1920's era general store, in 1993.

The company is licensed and bonded in accordance with the travel sellers laws of the State of Florida and the Airline Reporting Commission, and boasts an excellent Dunn and Bradstreet rating. Roatan Charter is a member in good standing with ASTA ( American Society of Travel Agents,) SATA (South American Travel Associatio), and the Airline Reporting Commission (ARC) as well as other travel and business related organizations and charities.

Roatan Charter contributes regularly to charities, organizations , and foundations that help or protect the people and natural resources of Honduras.
