[***** SPECIAL BEACH HOUSE  PROGRAM *****]

IIf CoCo View Resort rooms are sold out for all the dates you need, we can offer a "Special Accommodations" program that you should like.  We will block an ocean front home in the privately owned Playa Miguel Beach Houses next door while we wait for a CoCo View room to open. You will be moved automatically to the first room that becomes available at the resort. Pros: If one does not open, you will get a whole ocean front beach house for the price of a hotel room! - a great deal. Cons: All houses are not air conditioned, and since this is a waitlist, there is no way to choose the house or CCV room you receive unless you specifically rent a particular house. Since we have to "shuffle" guests from house to house as last minute cancellations and specific rentals occur, your reservationist cannot tell you which house you are temporarily being protected in.

See the houses at www.playamiguel.com, or visit www.roatan.com for other options. Or talk to your reservationist at 1-800-282-8932

    Information for Guests with Disabilities

CoCo View has a loyal following of disabled and/or handicapped guests and we do our very best to meet all reasonable requests, however, we are not a handicap equipped facility. Doorways, bathrooms, walkways and dive boats do not meet US standards for the disabled.   If you or a member of your party is disabled or wheelchair bound, please let us know in advance.

Information you will need as a disabled guest to Roatan and Coco View:

    1. Roatan airport is not handicap accessible. Stairways are used for loading and unloading airplanes on the tarmac. We suggest that guests bring a companion or attendant to assist them off the aircraft. The airport staff may not be available to assist in carrying guests and/or equipment off the aircraft. (Please notify the airline prior travel of special needs.)

    2. The Coco View bus, public transportation and taxi cabs on Roatan are not handicap equipped. Assistance is required for loading and unloading.

    3. Coco View is only accessible by boat. These boats are not handicap equipped and assistance is required for loading and unloading.

    4. A portion of the pathways between the clubhouse, rooms and dive lockers are sand, wheelchair navigation can be difficult.

    5. A temporary ramp into the clubhouse is available; however it is steep and usually requires assistance to navigate.

    6. None of the restrooms at Coco View are wheelchair accessible.

    7. Coco View has downstairs rooms that are wheelchair accessible. One is equipped with a ramp; the other has a single small step that can be navigated with assistance. Each room has double doors, which allow easy access, however the restrooms are not wheelchair accessible.

    8. Dive boats do not have davits to lift divers in and out of the water, this is done manually.

    9. Although getting on and off the boat at the dock is somewhat easy, it does require some assistance.

    10. There are no handrails around the boardwalks; care is required when navigating these walkways.

    11. Meals are served buffet style and are self-serve, this may require assistance.

    12. Drop off dives (2 available each day) are completed with a walk-in to the beach so assistance is required.

    13. We recommend that guests using wheelchairs or scooters bring a companion or attendant who is willing to aid when needed. Additional fees will apply if CoCo View finds it necessary to provide staff for this service.

    14. We recommend that guests bring a companion or attendant to dive with them to provide assistance. Additional fees will apply if CoCo View finds it necessary to provide staff for this service. Coco View can arrange for a private Dive Master to assist in the water if necessary at a rate of $50 per day.

    15. We can arrange for a personal assistant to stay in the guest’s room to provide assistance during the week at a rate of $50 per day. Advance notice is required to arrange this service. Guest will need to pay the single supplement for their room.

    16. Please be aware that the saltwater environment can be corrosive to any carbon steel components of wheel chairs or other equipment.
