A leisurely jaunt through the beautiful Honduran countryside takes us first to Pulhapanzak Waterfall and then on to our lake side lodge at mountain rimmed Lago Yojoa. The following morning, it's onward (southward) to the colonial capital of Comayagua, where we'll tour the cathedral and museum. Lots of good colonial "house-peeping" here, too. Finally, we'll ascend the forested hills into Tegucigalpa, the "Silver City" of colonial fame where we'll spend 3 nights. The next day, head out for a days' shopping and sight seeing in the villages of Santa Lucia and Valle de Angeles, famous for it's handicrafts (ceramics, wood carvings, baskets and straw goods, plus a springing of antique shops). On the last day, choose from a walking tour in the cool environs of La Tigra Cloud Forest with over 2000 species of native flora and fauna, or a "city" day walking the cobbled streets and hitting the cafes, galleries and artisan's shops. This evening, farewell dinner; transfer to airport in the morning.
