Guanaja

With the highest peaks in the Bay Islands and the fewest roads, Guanaja has been a Bayman's paradise since the days of Columbus. There's great scuba diving of course, but you will also discover some of the finest kayaking and light tackle fishing in the Caribbean - and plenty of friendly folks to show you the way.

Coral Bay Dive Resort

Newly opened for the 2007 season, Coral Bay opens a whole new experience for Guanaja divers. The main resort offers a swimming pool, fresh sea breezes, and a clear cascading water fall providing the cabanas with the sweetest crystal clear drinking water you have ever tasted. Divers will enjoy everything from shallow reefs to wrecks, caves, canyons, underwater volcanoes, and plummeting walls. Snorkelers love the reef life right off the beach.  Contact us for special Land-N-Sea and multiple island dive packages.

Cayos Cochinos

Named by early mariners who anchored their sailing ships in the natural harbors to hunt the wild hogs that roamed the forested mountains.  A visit to the "hog islands" today is even more satisfying.  There are few permanent villages, but north coast Garifuna fishermen love to set thatched champas on the beach for a season of fishing. Access to the cays is by boat from La Ceiba, and while day trips are available, the private beaches, beautiful views, great snorkeling and diving, and the luxury of true privacy makes a Cayos vacation one that you will remember forever.

Plantation Beach Resort- Cayos Cochinos

Unspoiled, undisturbed, undiscovered but not unprotected, this intimate dive resort is located on a private island in the Cayos Cochinos Marine Biological Reserve. Low environmental impact is an obvious priority at PBR, and with a 24 guest maximum you are assured ultimate privacy and excellent service. Some call Cayos Cochinos the macro capital of the Bay Islands. You'll witness the rare and odd sea creatures and spend your surface interval relaxing on the beach, hiking the tropical forest, snorkeling the coral reefs or exploring the bay by kayak.
